Marinated Turkey

nothing says housewife or domestic diva like a neighborhood garden club meeting does! well....2.5 kids, PTO meetings & a dodge caravan might. {ahhh-frightening!}

in reality, my neighborhood is holding the monthly garden club meeting tonight where women of all blocks gather to chat about, well, nothing. last month's garden club highlight was the frustration of members who felt the n'hood emails had gotten out of control. i mean, i obviously like to know when a strange, unidentified, middle-aged man walks through the n'hood or when someone is selling a pack 'n play for half price. and best yet, the slap-on-the-nanny
mother's-wrist when a kid pooped on the playground. i can send the email if interested.

but moving past that & and gearing up for tonight, i bring to you...a marinated turkey! this is a great staple to make for the week-think turkey sandwiches, wraps, over salad, in soups, etc.

{marinated turkey breast}

ingredients {in order of use}
  • 1 5-7 pound turkey
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 browning bag {sold by plastic baggies}
1. pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

2. place turkey breast in browning bag & place in shallow roasting pan. combine parsley, oil, salt, pepper & vinegar. pour over turkey breast. seal bag, cut vents & bake 4-5 hours.

3. serve hot with juice!

p.s. my husband just got back from a trip to canada and will not stop with a canadian accent...

  1. Loving all the recipes! This is my kind of "fancy meal" -- dump ingredients and let them cook a while. Love the new website. Must consult on blog designs. We want to get together w/ you & JC if only to hear the Canadian accent!
