Buttery Baked Cabbage

cabbage...one of those over-looked veggies we don't give much TLC. my dad makes this buttery baked cabbage anytime i am home & it's one of my favorite sides. not only is it packed with nutrients, it's a cheap buy, lasts for a while in the fridge & goes well with any meal!

Ingredients {in order of use}
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon of butter {or 2 squirts of squeeze butter}
  • salt & pepper
1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. using a full head of washed, rinsed cabbage, cut triangular-wedges {about 1 or 2 per person}.

3. place wedges on a piece of aluminum foil {enough to fold & make a well-sealed packet}.

4. place thin slices of butter on each wedge {or squirt with butter on both}. season with salt & pepper. fold packet to seal, place in oven for an hour, or until soft.
