behold...instant nachos! well, not out of a box with a little water added to make them come alive, but SUPER easy assembly & not so specific on the measurements. i love nachos but i don't like ordering them in a restaurant for fear of ingredients i don't love & the fat content. using the following basics, you can customize nachos to your {or your diners} taste! what a perfect after-school, work or summer snack!
{BAKED NACHOS}
Ingredients {in order of use}
- non-stick cooking spray
- 3 small, corn tortillas {or 2 8 "}
- 1 dash salt
- 2 pinches of cheese {your choice!}
- 2 spoonfuls of fat free refried beans
- 1 dash salsa
1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. using a pizza cutter, cut your tortillas into 4 triangular-pieces. spray a baking pan with non-stick spray & lay tortilla triangles flat. spray with another mist of non-stick cooking spray & cover with a dash of salt. bake on each side for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
3. remove from oven & add toppings! cook for another 5 minutes. enjoy!
*additional topping options: jalapenos, olives, lettuce, chicken, beef, tomatoes!
